How to Send Video Emails for Relationship Marketing and Beyond

About a month ago it occurred to me that video email could be the “next big thing” in relationship marketing, not to mention a great tool for breaking through the clutter to reach prospects in a given niche.

So I set out to find the best online tool for video email marketing. Overall, I tested nine different platforms, each having unique qualities and limitations (some more than others). Below, I’ll share my final choice, but first, allow me to share my selection criteria:

1. Whenever I’m seeking a web based tool, I always look for something that’s intuitive. If I hit obstacles as a user, and have to go deep into instructions, I’m not likely to become a customer.

2. I look for positive product reviews. This can be a challenge because affiliates seed “product reviews” in every corner of the web, but if I follow my instincts, I can generally distinguish authentic reviews from self-promotions.

3. I’m a visual person, so I like tools that have elegant, contemporary and web 2.0 look and feel.

The video emal product that met and exceeded my criteria is TalkFusion. Not only does TalkFusion provide a video email system that is elegant (with hundreds of templates to choose from), but it also provides video conferencing and live video broadcasting tools.

Originally, I was reluctant to join TalkFusion because it’s a network marketing organization. But honestly, because their tool set so uniquely meets my needs, and the organization is product/benefit centric, I will join will an open mind.

Why are video marketing and video blogging such important considerations for businesses today?

Recently, I was ‘virtually interviewed’ by Laura Waage, entrepreneuer business coach and consultant. Here’s the first of her six questions about current and future trends in video marketing.

“Dan, Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today. I really appreciate your willingness to share your expertise! When I look at the short history of video, I’m amazed at the trends. YouTube had its official launch in December of 2005, and 5 short years later it exceeds 2 billion views a day. Up until this point, it’s primarily been leveraged for personal use, but in the last year more and more businesses and entrepreneurs have started leveraging this platform for business purposes… and with great success. Why are video marketing and video blogging such important considerations for businesses today?”

Why is video marketing important? My Ultimate Internet Marketing Boot Camp training.

I recently began public speaking about video marketing at the Internet Marketing Boot Camps (a collaboration between T. Harv Eker and Alex Mandossian).

In this video clip, from the Ultimate Internet Boot Camp, I share a metaphor for why video marketing is important. After posting the video on Facebook, I was told my “Chutes and Ladders” metaphor is wrong! As it turns out, chutes send you backward and ladders send you forward. LOL!
